Ghana Launches Bold Agenda to Reform Business Environment for Youth and Women

Ghana unveiled the National Business Agenda (NBA), a reform plan to make it easier for young people and women to start and grow businesses. The Ghana Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs developed it with technical support from the Investment Climate Reform Facility, drawing on research that involved more than 100 entrepreneurs and about 60 ecosystem stakeholders.

The agenda targets structural barriers such as limited access to credit, gender gaps in public procurement and outdated regulation. Sherif Ghali called it a practical, action-focused blueprint and not a wish list of recommendations. The head of the Ghana Enterprises Agency described it as a tool for inclusion and pledged support for implementation, especially in underserved communities. Government officials and development partners, including the EU Delegation and the British Council, attended the launch.
