Sherif Ghali, President of the Ghana Youth Federation (GYF) and Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs (GCYE), has been appointed to the Grant Management Committee of the Adwumawura Programme, a flagship government initiative aimed at supporting youth-led enterprises and advancing sustainable job creation in Ghana.
The appointment places Mr Ghali on a multi-stakeholder committee responsible for ensuring transparency, fairness, and accountability in the assessment and allocation of grants under the programme. The committee plays a critical role in strengthening public confidence in the management of funds administered through the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme.
In his role on the committee, Mr Ghali represents the interests of Ghanaian youth and young entrepreneurs nationwide. He is expected to contribute to a merit-based and impact-driven selection process that prioritises viable youth-led businesses with the potential to create jobs and support inclusive economic growth.
The Adwumawura Programme forms part of government’s broader youth development and entrepreneurship agenda, focusing on building resilient enterprises capable of contributing to long-term national development. Mr Ghali’s appointment underscores the growing role of organised youth leadership in shaping policy implementation and governance within Ghana’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.
