On Monday, 10 November 2025, I had the honour of being inaugurated as a member of the Ministerial Advisory Board for the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment. The ceremony, held at the Ministry’s conference room in Accra, marked an important step in advancing Ghana’s youth development agenda.
The Minister, Hon. George Opare Addo, who chaired the ceremony, administered the Oath of Office and Oath of Secrecy to all newly appointed members. In his address, he reminded us that the Board is not a ceremonial body but a legally mandated advisory platform to guide the Ministry’s policies and programmes that directly impact young people across the country.
He emphasized the need for innovation, inclusivity, and practical policy solutions that empower the youth through education, skills development, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement. His charge to us was clear—our work must influence the national agenda and create real opportunities for Ghana’s young people.
Serving on this Board is both an honour and a responsibility. As Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs and Acting President of the Ghana Youth Federation, I see this as a platform to bring the voice, aspirations, and challenges of young people directly to the policy table.
The Board, chaired by Hon. Opare Addo, includes distinguished professionals and leaders from government, academia, and civil society. Together, we are committed to ensuring that youth development remains central to Ghana’s national growth strategy.
This inauguration represents a new phase in youth empowerment—one focused on collaboration, evidence-based action, and shared accountability. I look forward to contributing meaningfully to the Ministry’s vision of building a stronger, more inclusive future for Ghana’s youth.
